RomeoPainful diagnosis with a simple solutionVaccine Associated Sarcoma (VAS) is very serious but treatable if caught early. Beautiful Romeo needs radiation to fight his cancer but funds must be raised before treatment can begin. Romeo is a 13-year-old Maine Coon mix, who loves to snuggle. He’ll steal chicken off your plate, and share it with his sister Juliet. She won’t admit it, but she loves him very much! And when his mommy is home sick, he never leaves her side. He is a very smart and loving cat. When I was 13 years old my mom, sister, and i went to a shelter, and we were planning to get a fluffy male kitten. When we got there Romeo was sitting up as high as he could looking at us with big eyes saying pick me, pick me! So we told the shelter that we wanted him instead. Then we noticed this silver ball of fluff. Romeo was sitting on his sister's head, but she had the most beautiful coat, and we decided to get Juliet too! They were very tiny kittens and very smart! We brought them home to our 8 year old cat Bright, who had just lost his sister Star. He acted like a daddy to the kittens and loved them! Romeo is a clever, mischievous lover! He likes to have his own way! He greets me at the door when I come home, and often makes a bit of a chirp sound. Whenever I'm feeling sad or sick, he stays by my side. He waits for me to go to bed and then sleeps on my face at night. He loves to snuggle! If you aren't snuggling him he'll just move closer and closer until he is on top of you. He is a genuine lover! He is the alpha male of the house and does not like when other men come over, unless they share their chicken with him! Romeo also has a sweet tooth, he loves ice cream, milk, and yogurt, but his favorite is cheesecake! He once tricked one of my past roommates into leaving the room at which time he ate her cheesecake! Romeo is not a very nice brother to his sister! He likes to chase her, steal attention from her, pounce on her, and eat her treats! However he does love her! When I take him to the vet the first thing he does when he comes in is rub his face against hers. Before they eat breakfast or dinner they also rub heads. He's also learned to let her sleep on the bed too! He's learning to share a little better in his old age! The kitties taught me how to be a mommy, and how to really take care of another being. When we first got the kitties, my mom took care of them, but then they moved out here and they were just my responsibility. I learned that patience and kindness works best, and that taking care of an animal means more than just loving them! Romeo and Juliet are always there for me when I'm sad. Romeo lets his fur absorb my tears, and he gives me extra snuggles. Living in California away from my family in NJ; Romeo and Juliet have been that little piece of home that makes me smile. Most people, or I should say women, love Romeo. He is always their favorite. He has this personality where everyone just falls in love with him. Those big eyes, and the silly way he approaches you and plops on your lap, it's hard not to love him. He'll also carry his toys right up to you to play with him, his favorite is a string! He loves to lay on his back and have his belly scratched, he'll even lift one leg up to make it easier for you! If you are so inclined, please donate.Thank you for making a wish come true. |
